Product Details

HERMITAGE sterling silver and silver plated bowls from Robbe & Berking. To mark the company’s 140th anniversary in 2014, silver experts Robbe & Berking decided to revamp their "Hermitage" line. The design is one of the renowned silver manufactory’s oldest and most beautiful designs.

The elegant shimmering effect of the "Hermitage" bowl was inspired by the movement of the waves and is attained with the so-called "hammered finish". The Robbe & Berking silversmith uses his hammer to create this appearance, thus ensuring that each bowl is completely unique. The soft curves on the surface reflect the light many times over.

The "Hermitage" bowl is available in either a 35 micron silverplated or sterling silver version. The bowl matches the "Hermitage" cutlery from Robbe & Berking.

Dimensions (same in sterling silver and silver plate):

  • Height: 4.5 cm
  • Diameter: 22 cm

About the Brand

The silver manufacturer Robbe & Berking was founded in 1874 and is still a pure family business today – now in its 5th generation.

Manu Factum – made by hand – is everything that bears the name of the company. The master silversmiths in the silver manufactory and the master boat builders in the Robbe & Berking yacht manufactory  are responsible for the unrivalled quality worldwide. It is not the limited possibilities of rational large-scale production, but the hands of the master craftsmen and women alone that determine the form and quality of each piece of work.

This is how cutlery and tableware of timeless elegance and beauty are created, which never just follow passing fashions or trends, but are made to last for generations. As the market leader in silver cutlery, Robbe & Berking is a supplier to the world's finest businesses.

Our 2nd generation family-run business has been making and selling fine table cutlery since 1967. In addition to our own Sheffield cutlery, we partner other leading brands to ensure that we offer the most comprehensive range of sterling silver, silver plated and stainless steel cutlery available in the UK today

By bringing you cutlery direct from the manufacturer to your table top, we offer much better prices than you will find in the shops.

We undertstand that dining habits are changing – and there is no ‘one size fits all’ when it comes to a cutlery set. That’s why every cutlery range we offer is available as individual pieces – allowing you to choose the right quantity for your needs.

Within most of the cutlery ranges we sell the cutlery sets are progressively discounted; versus the price of the equivalent number of individual pieces. That means the more you buy, the more you save!

We supply cutlery for your home, for restaurants and hotels, as well as prestigious sporting venues and clubs. We supply cutlery throughout the UK and worldwide.
